A Story of God’s Grace

For over two decades, Sun View Baptist Church has been a shining beacon of faith and hope in the transforming power of God’s Word.

In the early days, our church found its home in a little room at a local middle school, where our intimate fellowship grew and flourished. Soon, we moved to the Pelham Civic Complex, a place that provided us with a platform to nurture our spiritual growth and expand our reach to the community for two years. As we continued to follow God’s guidance, we found ourselves in an intermediate school, a stepping stone toward our present-day location.

Located on 25 scenic acres near the entrance to Oak Mountain State Park, our current sanctuary stands as a testament to the faithfulness of God to our church family. God has blessed us with a magnificent church building, completed in February 2020.  Each week we look forward to the love we experience in Christ and with each other at Sun View.

Throughout our journey, we’ve remained steadfast in our mission to serve and uplift the hearts and souls of those we reach. Over the past two decades, we have witnessed the transformative power of God’s work, touching the lives of hundreds of individuals who have found solace, guidance and support within the Sun View Baptist Church community.

Meet Pastor Mark

In 2001, Pastor Mark Boyd established Sun View Baptist Church alongside his beloved wife, Melody. The two cherish their delightful children, Skylin and Greyson. Mark attended two Christian universities and Bible College where he received a Master’s Degree in Bible and Theology. He enjoys expository preaching, time with family and working out.
